Above is part 1 of a 30 minute chronicle of how Er Ge and his family and neighbors kill and butcher a pig that feeds the family and some artists for the next year. Year-end follow up to that big pig:

Last day of the Lunar calendar, Er Ge prepares the tail and head of the enormous pig he killed a few weeks ago, the one Emi filmed (above) just after she arrived at Lashihai. Scraped and washed, they await some more surgery then get a hot steamy bath till dinner.
