2014: The village is ready to do the Qilin dance. It's been nearly ten years since it was performed, and the teachers are getting old. Over a glass of date and crabapple liquor at He Zhongli's house, we agreed to get it going again this summer break.

First day of rhythm section practice:

He Wenfeng led a bit of purification and ceremony as we took the Qilin and related beasts from He Zhongli's house to the studio. It is a mysterious and holy thing, after all.
